Spinner Abrar Ahmed has been released from the Pakistan squad for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand owing to fitness concerns. He will be returning to Pakistan for his rehabilitation, which will take place at the National Cricket Academy. Left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz, who has been released from the Test squad, has joined fellow bowlers – Zaman Khan, Haris Rauf and Usama Mir – to train for the upcoming T20I series.
